The direct access to disk surface method is also perfectly suited for drives that harbor a large number of small files. Once you start Disk Checker up for the first time it all becomes crystal clear. The user interface is intuitive and easy to use so you should have no problems figuring out how to use the application.

Speaking of using the application, you should know that alongside checking your drives, Disk Checker can also backup your data. With Disk Checker you can create disk images that are compatible with disk image files produced by other disk copy utilities such as WinImage, DiskDupe and Diskcopy. You can also turn disk images into .ISO files.

As mentioned before, your hard drive will eventually crash. S.M.A.R.T. attributes provided by Disk Checker can predict when that will happen.
